What's on the 8 hr course?
Learn standard technique
Learn the technique for Olympic Recurve/Freestyle (what they shoot in the olympics) and barebow (think more Robin Hood!).
Learn archery etiquette needed if you want to join a club.
In the taster session we will mostly be focussing on safe technique and having fun!
What's the name of all those shiny bits?
Find out what the different parts of the bow and arrow are called.
Learn how to string your own bow.
Discover the names of all the different parts of equipment.
Learn about the different distances and rounds shot.
Have fun! Shoot lots of arrows!
Finish with a friendly competition - learn how to score your arrows.
Can you hit a balloon?
Get advice as to what equipment to buy and the local clubs you could join if you want to continue shooting.
If you pass you will get a certificate to say you have completed an archery beginners course which you can use to join a local archery club.
